A SCARCE BRNO 7.92x57mm MAUSER 'MOD. 98/29 - M1317 PERSIAN MAUSER' BOLT-MAGAZINE SERVICE RIFLE, serial no. P6585, circa 1935, 30in. nitro barrel, blade fore-sight with side protectors, elevating rear sight marked in Farsi, blued receiver (with thumb cut-out), the rear bridge fitted with a later Parker Hale PH17 aperture sight, receiver ring stamped with the Persian coat of arms, the left side of the receiver stamped with the serial number and farsi script, roughly translated to "6585P", "LONG RIFLE MODEL 1317 AT ARMS FACTORY BRNO.", manual safety, straight bolt handle, hinged floorplate, figured full-length semi-pistolgrip stock, four sets of sling swivels, 13in. pull including buttplate, matching numbers, weight 9lb. 15oz.
